Cell Line Description

Derived from a 58 year old Caucasian male. The cells can synthesise lecithin utilising the cytidine diphosphocholine pathway. Occasional cells may also contain inclusion bodies although they are not known to carry any human pathogen.

Components

ATG005A-1VL: A549 EGFRvIII KnockoutATG005B-1VL: A549 EGFRvIII High

Features and Benefits

The A549 EGFRvIII antigen panel cell lines feature the EGFRvIII extracellular mutation expressed at varying levels (KO and high). These cell lines enable researchers to screen and evaluate the efficacy and potency of EGFRvIII-targeted immunotherapies in a biologically-relevant cellular research model.

General description

This product is a panel of two (2) genetically modified cell lines involving the EGFR gene and the tumor-sepcific EGFRvIII extracellular mutation. The panel consists of a EGFR knockout cell line (EGFR-/-) and an EGFRvIIIhigh expression cell line. The EGFR-/- cell line was generated using CompoZr® Zinc Finger Nuclease technology, and the EGFRvIIIhigh expression cell line was generated using MISSION® lentivirus. The EGFRvIIIhigh cell line expresses EGFRvIII at high levels relative to the EGFR-/- cell line and wild type A549 cells as measured via fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS). The STR profile of these cell lines match that of its parental cell line - ECACC catalog number 86012804.
